Ben White

BEN WHITE

Ben is one of the best known technology entrepreneurs in the UK having co-founded three successful businesses helping them to grow into market leaders each with revenues in excess of $100m. He was recognised by the European Technology Forum's UK Technology Innovation & Growth Awards as 'Technology Entrepreneur of the Year' for 2005 and in the same year was ranked in the top ten of Management Today's list of the UK's top 100 entrepreneurs.

At the same time Ben and his brother Jos founded Star Internet in 1995 as one of the UK's first ISPs. Ben served as Star's CEO from 1995 to 2000 and 2006 to 2008, establishing the company as one of the UK's largest ISPs. In his second term, driving its evolution towards a more broad-based communications company as it took advantage of the convergence between voice, data and Internet.

In 2000 Ben and Jos founded MessageLabs to scale up the anti-virus technology developed within Star. Ben served as the CEO until 2006 where he built the company into a global market leader in messaging security and a true pioneer in the exploding Software as a Service (SaaS) industry. Towards the end of 2008 MessageLabs was acquired by Symantec for approx $700M, marking the second largest transaction for a private company in the history of the IT security industry.

JON KAMALUDDIN

Jon Kamaluddin was the International Director at ASOS from 2009 to 2012, having previously spent 5 years as CFO. Under his leadership, ASOS international sales grew from £32m to £480m and 64% of total sales. Throughout his tenure, Jon served as a member of the ASOS PLC Board of Directors. Jon currently sits on the board of, and is an investor in, a number of exciting young ecommerce businesses.  

Jon started his career in Corporate Recovery at Arthur Andersen and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is based in London.
